On Sunday, October 18 2020, we will perform a service-wide upgrade for Web Security Service customers using the Web isolation add-on service. During this maintenance event, services will remain operational and available with minor customer impact as described below.
The maintenance event will start at 07:00 UTC and continue until 16:00 UTC.
Customer Impact Only Web Security Service customers who use the Web Isolation add-on service will be impacted. If you do not have Web Isolation, this does not apply to you.
While we expect the upgrade procedure to have minor impact on the service, the maintenance window for this work is scheduled to ensure minimum impact on our users, should the service become unstable. Some logged-in services such as Web mail, social media websites etc. may require new login for a short time frame during the maintenance event.

This scheduled maintenance affected: Global Services (Web-Isolation Interconnect).
Symantec maintains standing maintenance windows on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning at 18:00 (21:00 for Japan) and ending at 06:00, and all day on Saturdays. All times are local data center time. Maintenance conducted during these times is very low impact and therefore, no customer action or preparation is required.
